This consumable 25-activity graphic workbook looks at life through Donovan’s eyes – a 14-year-old Black boy growing up in a world that constantly doubts his abilities. This workbook not only confronts societal messages that discourage Black and Latino boys from believing in their academic and overall potential, but it also highlights the significant contributions made by Black and Latino men in the United States in fields such as medicine, education, business, law, innovation and more.
This workbook is designed to strengthen the academic confidence of our youth, help them overcome stereotypes, and avoid situations that lead to violence and early death. Although the workbook is primarily geared towards Black and Latino boys, the universal success principles in the workbook are beneficial for all youth.
